Head of Communications and Fundraising

Full Time - Salary c £37k to £39k

 

The Trustees now wish to appoint a talented and experienced Head of Communications and Fundraising to enable St Wilfrid's to meet the future challenges of raising funds in an increasingly competitive charity sector.

 

You will be responsible for preparing and implementing robust strategies for communications, PR and fundraising to significantly increase the awareness of St Wilfrid's with the public and all the stakeholders to ensure increased income generation through a comprehensive range of fundraising activities. As a member of the Management Team you will play an important role in the key decision making processes of the Hospice.

 

You will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills and empathy with the Hospice philosophy. Experience of relationship building and networking with people at all levels is vital, as is the ability to inspire potential supporters and engage effectively with journalists and the media.

 

Proven experience of managing and developing a team who deliver objectives and achieve results is essential. An ability to work with volunteers, operate well under pressure and to instil confidence in your delivery are important.

Finance Assistant

15 - 20 hrs per week

Salary £16,781 - £17,732 (Band 3 AfC) Pro rata

 

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to process income and expenditure in accordance with internal Finance processes and procedures, in collaboration with other members of the Finance Depar tm ent for St Wilfrid's Hospice charity and its subsidiary trading company.
