Payroll giving
Everyone likes to do more for Charity...
What is Pay Roll Giving?
Payroll Giving is a simple, tax effective way to give to charity from your pay.
Surveys show that each month around two thirds of us give to charity. Giving regularly to your favourite charitable cause is an excellent way to help others.
How Does Payroll Giving Work?
Providing that your employer offers Payroll Giving, it could not be simpler.
You authorise your employer to deduct regular charitable donations from your pay. Your employer then pays these donations to a Payroll Giving agency approved by the Inland Revenue. The agency then distributes the money to St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
What are the Benefits of Payroll Giving?
For you: Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax, so each £10 you give will only cost you £7.80. If you are a higher taxpayer, it will only cost you £6. Payroll Giving is also very simple to do.
For St Wilfrid's Hospice : The main benefit of Payroll Giving
is to create a regular flow of funds for St Wilfrid's.
How can I find out if my employer offers Payroll Giving?
Simply ask your
employer's payroll department.
How do I know that St Wilfrid’s Hospice has received my donation?
Your support is very important to us and as soon as we receive notification of your donation, we will write to thank you. We will also keep you informed about our work by sending you our quarterly newsletter Friends.
How much should I give?
You can give any amount you choose, from £1 a week.
Can I stop Payroll Giving when I want to?
Yes, at any time. Simply tell your employer's payroll department.
