The hospice has two consultants, Drs Brendan Amesbury and Colin Hartree. Dr Amesbury is the Hospice Medical Director and is line manager for the medical, psychosocial work and chaplaincy teams.
There are three specialty physicians John Overton, Matt Price and Charlotte Williams.
The Hospice also has a junior doctor who is on the general practice training programme at St Richard's Hospital. The post rotates every four months so we have three different doctors filling the post in a year.
There are always two members of the medical team on call. The specialty physicians and junior doctor provide a one in four first on call, and one of the consultants is always available second on call.
