The Local Area:
A small and attractive cathedral city, Chichester enjoys the open countryside of the South Downs to the north and Chichester harbour and attractive beaches to the south. Goodwood racecourse is a major attraction, as is the Chichester Festival Theatre.
Community activities are lively in the city and surrounding towns and villages, with commuters and those who work locally living in harmony. There are excellent schools and colleges and a direct train service to London. Cultural and sporting facilities are to be found within and outside the city.
Staff:
A multidisciplinary team is employed and consists of:
Medical team, Nursing staff, Clinical Nurse Specialists in the community, Day Hospice team, Hospice at Home team, Psychosocial team, Chaplain, Senior Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Administration staff, Fundraising team, Nurse Tutor and Support Staff, Housekeeping staff, Catering staff, Complementary Therapists, Hospice shops. Over 400 volunteers add to the work of the Hospice in various ways.
Management:
The Hospice is governed by a Board of Trustees and managed by the Management Team - Chief Executive, Medical Director, Head of Fundraising, Lead Nurse In-Patient Services, Lead Nurse Community Services and Head of Finance.
