Volunteer Roles

Volunteers help us with many vital tasks, including:

• Day Hospice
• Meet & Greet Receptionist (Orchard Centre, Wednesdays)
• Hospice Visitors (bereavement service)
• Home Care Sitting Service
• Transport (drivers for patients, carers & relatives)
• Patient Care (looking after the kitchen on the In-Patient Unit)
• Education & Library
• Flower Arranging
• Complementary Therapists
• Gardening
• Clerical and General Office work
• Fundraising
• Maintenance
• Charity Shops
• Support Groups

Please note volunteers must be aged 16 years or over.

Before joining the volunteer team we will ask for an application form to be completed, and two personal references are asked for. St Wilfrid's Hospice applies for Criminal Records Bureau Checks for those volunteers who will have patient contact.
