Introduction to Volunteering Service

Volunteer GardenVolunteers play an integral part in the life of the Hospice, fulfilling a central role in the Hospice's work.

  • Have your children just started school or just left home?
  • Are you a student looking for work experience or wanting to improve your job prospects?
  • Are you about to retire or thinking about taking early retirement?
  • Have you been out of work and are now looking to join the workforce again?
  • Are you in full or part time employment and have a little time to spare?

Volunteering is a rewarding experience, why not get involved?

Not only do volunteers meet new people and make friends, they also have the chance to serve as part of a dedicated team. Our volunteers contribute many things, but most precious of all is their time.

More than 400 men and women currently volunteer, but more are always needed to assist with almost every aspect of the hospice's work.

No matter how much time you can give or what interests and skills you have - make a difference, get involved and join the team!

So what vital roles do volunteers help us with?
