DONATING GOODS?
NOW YOU CAN GIFT AID YOUR UNWANTED GOODS!
Gift Aid is a really simple way of raising extra funds to support the work of St Wilfrid’s Hospice. By agreeing to Gift Aid your donations, St Wilfrid’s Hospice can claim back 25% tax from HM Revenue and Customs when we sell your goods.
That means for every £1 we raise from selling your donated goods, we can claim an extra 25p at no extra cost to you. This will really make a difference.
Gift Aid Form
All you need to do to increase the value of your goods is:
- Sign a Gift Aid Declaration Form, at any of our shops or at the Donation Centre. Alternatively, you can download a Gift Aid form and attach it to your donations.
By signing the form you confirm that:
- you are a UK taxpayer
- you wish St Wilfrid’s Hospice to act as your agent
- and claim tax on your donations that we sell.
You will receive a Donor Card with a unique Donor Number. This number is used each time you donate to identify your goods.
We will write to you to confirm we are reclaiming Gift Aid on the value of the goods we have sold. This is a HMRC requirement that we must follow for the claim to be valid.
Please say YES to GA and help us make more of your kind donations.
