Avril Robinson, Head of Fundraising
Avril has been working at St Wilfrid's Hospice since March 2011. Her role as Head of Fundraising means that she manages, develops and co-ordinates the fundraising programme at the Hospice, ensures stewardship of funds in all areas undertaken by the fundraising team and commits to meeting exacting codes of fundraising practice throughout the organisation.

Jill Dennison, Communications and Events Manager
Jill has been working at the Hospice since July 2002 and joined the fundraising team in 2003. She is responsible for managing and organising the Hospice annual plan of events; inspiring and encouraging our local community to fundraise on our behalf and looking after and growing the number of Support Groups in our area. Jill edits the annual report and newsletter and works closely with the local media to raise the profile of the Hospice and market its activities.

Julie Longman, Events and Community Fundraiser
Julie joined the fundraising team at the Hospice in July 2010. Julie’s role is split into three main areas; working with Jill on Hospice events, providing support to those in the community raising funds for the Hospice and encouraging and providing support to Hospice Support Groups.

Tina Mansfield, Design and Marketing Fundraiser
Tina has worked in the fundraising team since 2004, and during this time has had many responsibilities supporting the events team. She now focuses on the design of promotional materials for the Hospice and community events and continues to support Jill and Julie with the Hospice events throughout the year.

Hilary Swift, Trusts and Grants Manager
Hilary joined St Wilfrid’s fundraising team in 2005 and manages the Hospice’s income from charitable trusts and foundations and other grant making organisations. Her work involves looking after and developing our relationships with those trusts who currently support us as well as researching and applying to potential new sources of funding.

Heather Brice, Trusts and Grants Fundraiser
Heather joined St Wilfrid’s in June 2010 and is responsible for securing donations from charitable trusts and foundations and other grant making bodies to cover the costs of the Hospice’s services. Working with Hilary, her role entails identifying and qualifying potential funders, creating compelling requests for funding and providing written updates to show how grants have benefited those under our care.

Michelle Sidney, Individuals Fundraising Manager
Michelle is our newest recruit and joined the team in August 2011. Michelle’s role covers three areas of fundraising, which include Friends (our regular givers), Legacies and In Memory. There are plans to further develop these important sources of the Hospice’s income streams, particularly the area of Legacies which account for a large part of the Hospice’s funding each year.

Gary Fryer, Database and Website Administrator
Gary Fryer has been a member of the fundraising team since 2008 and is responsible for managing the Hospice Website and our in-house database which includes supporting the Events team activities, producing mailing lists and statistical analysis reporting.
