St Wilfrid’s Hospice is pleased to announce that our patient and visitor wireless network has been expanded to cover the entire site – including WIFI Accessthe Day Hospice. This free of charge service can now be offered to all our patients, their visitors and families allowing them to use their own devices (such as an iPad or a laptop) to browse the web, collect and send email, and stay in touch with loved ones. Connection to the wireless network is simple, however instructions and hands-on support can be provided if required. Hike4Hospices

Four local hospices benefited from a whopping £24,000 when Sussex Rotarians presented them with the money raised from the 2011 Hike4Hospices event.

Cheque PresentationIn just four years Hike4Hospices (H4H) has raised an incredible £136,000 for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, The Martlets, St Peter & St James and St Barnabas Care, every penny of which pays directly for patient care.

The Rotarians and representatives from the four hospices also took the opportunity to promote the 2012 event which will take place over two days --18th and 19th August – along the beautiful South Downs Way between Lewes and Goodwood.

Chairman of the Hike4Hospices Management Committee, Colin Crookes says, “The 2011 Hike4Hospices wasn’t without its challenges but it was a great success not only because it raised £24,000 for our chosen hospices but also because those taking part thoroughly enjoyed the event. We aim to improve and do even better in 2012.”
