Remember St Wilfrid's in your Will

Please help us to continue our vital services into the future

Since opening in 1987 St Wilfrid's Hospice has been caring for local people who are living with life-limiting illnesses, while supporting their families and carers. Over 10,000 patients and their loved ones have received our care during this time yet, as a charity, we rely on public donations to provide 86% of our running costs and last year the cost to provide our services Patient Day Hospiceamounted to over £5m.

We believe every patient and their loved ones should receive the highest standard of care. As well as our 14 inpatient bedrooms we offer a Day Hospice, spiritual and bereavement support services and care to patients in their own homes.

An invaluable gift that costs you nothing now

Gifts in Wills are extremely valued and last year these gifts contributed to over 40% of our total income. Without this generous support we quite simply would not be able to meet the demand of our services. Therefore, we ask that you please consider leaving a gift, however large or small, in your Will once those you care about have been provided for. Just a small percentage could make a big difference to us and the community that we serve.

“When Heather was in the Hospice she said ‘I wish this place had been here for my mother, I’m one of the lucky ones’. I’ve thought about these words many times in the years since she died. I can’t do anything forRoger and Heather Heather now but I know she would wish those who are terminally ill to become ‘lucky ones’ and receive the comfort and care of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

So by leaving a gift in my Will to the Hospice the money released, when the time comes, will hopefully fulfill Heather’s wish, help the Hospice in continuing its work and help me.”
