Other ways you can help

Collection Boxes

Would you like a collection box in your home/shop or business?

We can supply boxes, with or without a chain, and floor standing money spinners in which you or your colleagues and customers can place their loose change. We can also Coins Collectionarrange for their collection, bring you a replacement and tell you how much you have raised - you’d be surprised how soon the money mounts up.

Last year our income from collections boxes was just over £18,000, this amount could cover the cost of the Hospice at Home service for 16 days. Please help us to raise this amount again this year.

Interested? Please call Julie Longman, Events and Community Fundraiser on 01243 755181 for more details or e-mail julie.longman@stwh.co.uk

Do you have a collection box that is full? Please call the number on the sticker on the box to arrange to have your box emptied and replaced. Alternatively, please call Jill or Julie in the Fundraising Department on 01243 755827 or email fundraising@stwh.co.uk

Collectors

We hold street collections during the year, in the Chichester district and the Arun area, usually in the summer months and/or at Christmastime.

We are always on the lookout for people who are willing to give up an hour or two to collect and help raise vital funds for the Hospice.

If you would like to help out please call Julie Longman, Events and Community Fundraiser on 01243 755181 for more details or e-mail julie.longman@stwh.co.uk

Presents

You can never have too much of a good thing or, can you?

How often are you given duplicate presents, vouchers you can’t use, bottles you don’t drink but feel are too good to throw in the back of the cupboard? Fret no more, for we are always looking for raffle prizes which can be used at one of the numerous fundraising events held throughout our area.

Raffles are a quick and easy way to raise funds for the Hospice and remember, just because something isn’t your cup of tea it might just be the ‘bees knees’ to someone else!

And, if you are celebrating a special birthday or anniversary why not ask for donations in lieu of presents which can be given directly to the Hospice. We can supply donation envelopes and/or collection boxes which can be personalised for the occasion if you wish.

If you have something you wish to donate for a raffle or would like to collect donations in lieu of presents, please contact Jill or Julie in the Fundraising Department on 01243 755827 or email fundraising@stwh.co.uk

eBay

If you are an eBay user you can choose for a percentage of your income to be donated to St Wilfrid’s Hospice. For more information please contact Lewis Branson on 01243 530518 or Louise Drudge on 01243 841044, both members of our retail team.

Giving time

We are always on the lookout for fundraising/event volunteers.

In June 50 men and women looked after our Moonlight Walkers whilst they walked 10 miles around Chichester City centre. Not only did they give up their time, they also gave up the comfort of their beds! Working throughout the night registering participants, pointing them in the right direction, serving refreshments, cheering them on their way and offering a welcome back foot massage. We couldn’t have held such a successful, and more importantly safe, event without their help.

If you’d like to join our happy band why not give Jill or Julie in the Fundraising Department a call on 01243 755827 or email fundraising@stwh.co.uk

Raffles

Raffles are a great and easy way to raise money for the Hospice. Whether it be in your work place, amongst friends or as an addition to an event you are organising. You could ask your friends and family or any local businesses to donate prizes.

However, please bear in mind that some raffles need to be registered. Please contact us to check on legal requirements, call or email Jill or Julie in the Fundraising Department on 01243 755827 or fundraising@stwh.co.uk
