St Wilfrid's Hospice provides specialist palliative care to people with cancer, motor neurone disease and other terminal illnesses at home, in hospital and in the Hospice. Many patients are cared for at home and at any one time we are caring for around 210 people from our community.
Our catchment area covers south west Sussex, bordered by the Downs in the north, Emsworth to the west and Arundel to the east. Our catchment area has now increased to serve the areas around Midhurst, Petworth, Pulbrough and Loxwood.
Since opening our doors in 1987, over 10,000 patients have been cared for by St Wilfrid's. About one third of them have been able to return and live at home after a period of inpatient treatment.
Our services are provided free of charge to anyone under our care. Referrals are made by GPs or hospital consultants.
Every donation really does make a big difference
A donation at any level makes a vital contribution to our work, but a small regular gift allows us to plan ahead more effectively, knowing that we have funds coming in each month to help support our services.
Your donation will go towards funding the care we provide for our patients and their families.
A few examples of our costs...

- Our Day Hospice provides a change of environment for those whom we care for in the community, as well as a chance for their carers to have a break. We offer entertainment and activities, specially equipped bathrooms and complementary therapies. It costs £1,333 a year to run our Day Hospice.
