I’m privileged to have been working for Chichester Festivities, the city’s annual arts festival, for more years than I care to remember! It’s an all-the-year-round job - nail-biting and rewarding in equal measure. Taking long walks around our home in Hambledon with our lovely black labs is my switch off.

What is your connection with St Wilfrid's Hospice?

The Hospice came into our family’s life when my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Up until then I thought it was a place people just went to die. I couldn’t have been more wrong. For 17 months my mother received the best and most wonderful care from St Wilfrid’s extraordinary team of staff.

What does being a 25th Anniversary Patron mean to you?

I feel so honoured to have been asked to become a 25th Anniversary Patron. I also feel so lucky to have the opportunity to try and give something back and hope that somehow I can play a part, albeit very minor, in ensuring that other families are able to receive the same support and comfort from this special haven to which I, and I am sure many others, owe a huge debt of gratitude.
